  • Lisa Hansen

    Lisa Hansen

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Lisa is a 5th generation Idahoan who grew up in the Treasure Valley. Lisa likes to say that she is so Idaho that there is even a mountain named after her family. Lisa couldn’t imagine living anywhere but Idaho. She and her family love camping, Jeeping, 4-wheeling and really anything outdoors. She and her husband, Rod, love to travel and together have a large, blended family with 7 children and 6 grandchildren.

In 2012 Lisa started working in the senior arena and found a love and strong appreciation for seniors. Lisa joined the Meridian Senior Center in February of 2017 as the Event Venue Coordinator. She wore many hats over the years; to include bus driving, marketing coordinator and event planner. In August of 2021 she became the Executive Director and had a vision for the Center to grow into an active and thriving community center for all seniors to enjoy. Her mission was clear in that she wanted to encourage all seniors to “Live Younger”! Lisa wants to thank the Board of Directors, her Staff and Meridian Senior Center Members for all their support in making her vision reality!

We are self-governing with an elected board of directors and officers who serve strictly as volunteers. The City of Meridian does not govern or dictate our activities or operation.

We rely on our generous donors, community sponsors, membership dues, project grants, fundraisers, venue rentals, boutique sales, transportation revenue, and bingo to fund the Center and our activities.

Our Mission:

Our Center is dedicated to enriching the lives of all older adults by developing, providing, and promoting a climate of respect, trust, and support. We offer active, healthy, and creative activities, along with opportunities for life enhancement programs to those we serve.
